We provide 6, 8 and 12 weeks Gap Year Project with a great
cultural and volunteering experience of a lifetime. Out of
the selected duration of the program the first 3 weeks would
be absolutely for Indian expedition and the remaining weeks
would be for volunteer work in Dharamshala region with some
weekend excursion.
Gap Year Project: India Expedition (First 3
Weeks)
The India expedition is perfect adventure expedition in
Asia. It combines travel, adventure and volunteer work, so
this Gap Year is full of rewarding experiences and action.
The India Expedition begins in Delhi with all its
magnificent contrasts between old and new India. You will
visit Gandhi Memorial, India Gate, and try out some of their
famous markets. After Delhi it is onto Agra, to see the Taj
Mahal's outstanding beauty. Tiger Safari at Ranthambhore
Tiger Reserve Park will be seen enroute journey to Pink City
(Jaipur). From Jaipur the journey starts to visit Sun City
of Rajasthan (Jodhpur), and then to Jaisalmer with full
night supported Camel Safari, you'll enjoy the outstanding
atmosphere of desert.
Then you will take a journey to fascinating Pushkar with
Ajmer sight seeing. Pushkar is one of India's most holy
cities. You will take an overnight train from Aimer to
Dharamshala, where you take a visit to McLeod Ganj and then
to 3 days Himalayan Trekking adventure.
Gap Year Project: Volunteer Work
The volunteer work takes place in a small village near Dalai
Lama city of Dharamshala in Himachal Pradesh. Here, the
group becomes part of the community by teaching or child
care or women empowerment projects and taking part in any
local festivals and celebrations. Volunteers can bring their
own skills, resources and ideas to aid their volunteer
activity, with suggestions for extra curricular activities
welcomed. During the volunteering period on alternate
weekends you will take a memorable trip to Golden Temple,
Amritsar (5th weekend) and visit to Kullu-Manali including
River Rafting (7th weekend).
At the end of Gap Year Project you will provide flight from
Dharamshala to Delhi to catch a flight to home or volunteers
are free to individual journey.

minimum 16 years old.
