Christmas Break Volunteer Holiday

Arrival & Orientation

Upon arrival at Delhi International airport participants of this Winter Break program will be greeted by a member of the team and drive to Jaipur. Pickup services are available anytime on the program start date.

The day after your arrival, a halfday orientation session will be conducted. This session will cover essential topics, common greetings, Indian history, culture, and traditions, volunteer project assignments & discusstion, volunteer work activities, explain some rules & regulations, receive an introduction to basic Hindi, and a visit of the local market.

Winter Break Volunteering 2025

Dec 22 - Delhi, India Arrival

Personally meet at Delhi Airport, Drive to Jaipur and transfer to accommodation.

Dec 23 - Group Introduction & Orientation

An orientation and group introduction will be organized the next day after your arrival.

Dec 24, 25 - Taj Mahal Visit (Agra)

Drive to Agra, transfer to a hotel, and visit the Fort & local market in the evening. Next day, visit the Taj Mahal at 10:00 AM after breakfast (included). In the evening, enjoy a Christmas celebration at the volunteer house in Jaipur!

Dec 26 to 30

Volunteer work begins.

Dec 31

The volunteers are free to explore the city center and immerse themselves in the New Year's Eve celebrations in India.

Jan 01, 02 - Visit to Pushkar

Drive to Pushkar after breakfast. Pushkar is one of the most sacred pilgrimage places for Hindus and is famous for its only Brahma Temple.

Jan 02, 03 - Visit to Jaisalmer

Travel to Jaisalmer, transfer to a hotel, and visit Jaisalmer Fort in the evening to witness its nighttime beauty. The next morning, visit Gadisar Lake at sunrise, followed by breakfast at the hotel. Then enjoy Jaisalmer sightseeing and explore local markets. In the afternoon, proceed to the desert.

Jan 03, 04 - Visit to Desert and Camel Safari

In the afternoon, visit a desert village and enjoy a camel ride to Sunset Point and the sand dunes.

Jan 04, 05 - Visit to Jodhpur

Travel to Jodhpur and transfer to a hotel. In the evening, explore the local markets. The next day, visit Mehrangarh Fort after breakfast and check out of the hotel afterward. Head back to Jaipur and arrive before dinner.

Jan 06 - Checkout at 11:00 AM

Drop-off at Delhi Airport around 19:00 hrs, carrying hearts full of cherished memories and the joy of making a difference.

Volunteer Accommodation

Your stay will be in a comfortable and welcoming facility in Jaipur, conveniently located near the local market and city center. The accommodation offers air-conditioned rooms with private bathrooms, hot water, and western style toilets, all on a shared room basis. While bedding is provided, we encourage volunteers to bring their own towels and toiletries. You will also have access to a common area and outdoor space, creating the perfect atmosphere for relaxation and socializing.

Hotel Stays

During the weekend tour and travel week, you will be staying in well maintained and hygienic hotels. A delicious breakfast will be included each morning to start your day right.

Desert Camel Safari Base Camp

During the Safari, you will take the true spirit of adventure, staying in tents or under the starry sky, surrounded by the tranquility of the desert. This will be an unforgettable and amazing you will treasure forever.

Meals

Throughout your volunteering days, you will enjoy a variety of freshly prepared Indian vegetarian meals at your accommodation. Known for its bold and rich flavors, Indian cuisine will provide you with an authentic culinary experience, offering a taste of the country’s diverse food culture.

Volunteer Safety

Your safety is our highest priority at Volunteering India. With years of experience, we ensure a secure environment at our accommodation, during transportation, at project sites, and throughout your travels. We have robust safety protocols in place, and with over 3,000 volunteers aged 16–65, we’ve had no incidents, ensuring your peace of mind.

Daily Transport to Project

We provide daily transportation between your accommodation and the volunteer project site, making your daily commute smooth and hassle-free so you can focus on the important work you're doing.

Free Time Activities

After your volunteer work, you will have the chance to explore the vibrant city of Jaipur. Take your time visiting bustling markets, marveling at heritage monuments, and savoring the variety of delicious Indian dishes at local restaurants. With so much to explore, Jaipur offers an exciting array of program to enrich your time in the capital.

Arrival: Pickup will be arranged from Delhi International Airport(IGI). You can arrive at any time on 22nd December, our driver will greet you upon arrival.

Departure: The program concludes with a drop-off at Delhi Airport at approximately 05:00 PM (evening) on 06th January. Please plan your onward travel arrangements accordingly.

Application Fee (USD $250) - This secures your spot, initiates online preparation, and must be paid after application approval. It is non-refundable but valid for a lifetime.

Program Fee (USD $1425) - This must be paid at least 2-weeks before arrival in India and covers lodging, transportation, tours, and other amenities as given bellow:
