Arrival & Orientation
Upon arrival at Delhi International airport participants of this Winter Break program will be greeted by a member of the team and drive to Jaipur. Pickup services are available anytime on the program start date.
The day after your arrival, a halfday orientation session will be conducted. This session will cover essential topics, common greetings, Indian history, culture, and traditions, volunteer project assignments & discusstion, volunteer work activities, explain some rules & regulations, receive an introduction to basic Hindi, and a visit of the local market.
Winter Break Volunteering 2025
Dec 22 - Delhi, India Arrival
Personally meet at Delhi Airport, Drive to Jaipur and transfer to accommodation.
Dec 23 - Group Introduction & Orientation
An orientation and group introduction will be organized the next day after your arrival.
Dec 24, 25 - Taj Mahal Visit (Agra)
Drive to Agra, transfer to a hotel, and visit the Fort & local market in the evening.
Next day, visit the Taj Mahal at 10:00 AM after breakfast (included).
In the evening, enjoy a Christmas celebration at the volunteer house in Jaipur!
Dec 26 to 30
Volunteer work begins.
Dec 31
The volunteers are free to explore the city center and immerse themselves in the New Year's Eve celebrations in India.
Jan 01, 02 - Visit to Pushkar
Drive to Pushkar after breakfast. Pushkar is one of the most sacred pilgrimage places for Hindus and is famous for its only Brahma Temple.
Jan 02, 03 - Visit to Jaisalmer
Travel to Jaisalmer, transfer to a hotel, and visit Jaisalmer Fort in the evening to witness its nighttime beauty.
The next morning, visit Gadisar Lake at sunrise, followed by breakfast at the hotel. Then enjoy Jaisalmer sightseeing and explore local markets.
In the afternoon, proceed to the desert.
Jan 03, 04 - Visit to Desert and Camel Safari
In the afternoon, visit a desert village and enjoy a camel ride to Sunset Point and the sand dunes.
Jan 04, 05 - Visit to Jodhpur
Travel to Jodhpur and transfer to a hotel. In the evening, explore the local markets.
The next day, visit Mehrangarh Fort after breakfast and check out of the hotel afterward. Head back to Jaipur and arrive before dinner.
Jan 06 - Checkout at 11:00 AM
Drop-off at Delhi Airport around 19:00 hrs, carrying hearts full of cherished memories and the joy of making a difference.
Board and lodging
Our Volunteer & Adventure Program in India offers thoughtfully arranged accommodation, meals, and transport for individuals, families, students, and group travelers. Below is an overview of what’s included to ensure a smooth and enjoyable experience.
Volunteer Accommodation
You will be staying in a well-maintained and cozy guesthouse in Jaipur, ideally situated close to markets and the city’s main attractions. Rooms are air-conditioned and come with attached bathrooms, hot water, and Western toilets, shared with fellow volunteers. While bedding is provided, please bring your own towels and toiletries for personal use.
The accommodation features communal indoor and outdoor areas that encourage connection and relaxation. Entertainment options include a TV with OTT services and round-the-clock Wi-Fi, so you’ll stay both connected and entertained throughout your time here.
Please be aware: In-house laundry services are not provided. Volunteers can either hand wash clothes or use affordable laundry services located nearby. Filtered water is supplied, so there's no need to buy bottled water during your stay.
Meals
Enjoy home-style Indian vegetarian meals prepared fresh at the accommodation throughout your volunteer experience. Indian food’s vibrant flavors and variety are sure to be a highlight of your journey. For those enrolled in the 4-week Work & Travel Program, meals are provided as follows:
During the Volunteering Period:
Breakfast – Chai, coffee, milk, banana, bread/toast, and cereals
Lunch and Dinner – Served daily and prepared at the volunteer residence
If you prefer to make your own breakfast or cook something different, kitchen basics are available. You're welcome to use these utensils and purchase additional groceries if you want to customize your meals.
During the Travel Week:
Breakfast – Provided at hotel stays
Dinner – Included during the desert camp experience
Local cuisine remains an integral and flavorful part of your cultural immersion.
Hotel Stays
Clean and comfortable hotel accommodations are provided during weekend excursions and the travel week. All hotel rooms are air-conditioned and include breakfast to ensure a relaxing stay.
Desert Camel Safari Base Camp
During the Camel Safari adventure, you'll experience a unique stay in tents or even sleep beneath the stars—making it one of the most memorable parts of your trip.
Volunteer Safety
Ensuring your safety is our top priority at Volunteering India Network. With extensive experience hosting volunteers, we maintain a secure environment at your residence, in transit, at project locations, and during tours. Our strong safety protocols have allowed us to host over 3000 volunteers aged 16 to 65 without incident.
Daily Transport to Project
We provide reliable transportation between your accommodation and the volunteer site each day, so you can focus on your work without worrying about logistics.
Free Time Activities
Outside of your volunteer hours, make the most of your time in Jaipur. Discover local markets, historical sites, and traditional Indian eateries. Jaipur’s dynamic vibe and cultural richness offer countless ways to enjoy the Pink City during your stay.

Arrival: Pickup will be arranged from Delhi International Airport(IGI). You can arrive at any time on 22nd December, our driver will greet you upon arrival.
Departure: The program concludes with a drop-off at Delhi Airport at approximately 05:00 PM (evening) on 06th January. Please plan your onward travel arrangements accordingly.
