I joined with my 29 year old daughter in Jaipur for a two-week volunteer program with Volunteering India, working with a local non profit to support street children. The experience was deeply educational for us both. Though I initially had reservations about my age and concerns about encountering culture shock, these worries quickly disappeared after the thoughtful and well organized orientation session.
