India Volunteer Programs: 1-52 weeks

We offer a Medical/Health Internship Program in rural part of India to participate in our health/medical internship program within the country. Those are really eager to serve many unprivileged Indian people and find a great working experience in health sector in India, are welcome. The interested medical students and also other general category personnel having done First-Aid-Course may get involved. In this health internship program volunteers will be involved in the following activities:

Health awareness campaigning
In health awareness campaign the participants will conduct health education on proper health-care/internship and sanitation with women and youth groups, other local organizations and school children once in a month. In addition, they will provide HIV/Aids awareness, First-Aid information to the local people in rural villages and thereby providing them with a practical living skills.

Regular volunteer work
In regular volunteer work the volunteers will perform the work under the Street Children Education Program to be run for five days in a week. The followings will be done under the program:
• Teaching Basic English & Mathematics at various levels including alphabets, counting, color &
  shapes, tips of getting dressed, animal and sounds, manners and art activities.
• Creativity enhancing exercises with children like drawing, painting, music and dance.
• Ensuring regular attendance of children by motivating their families.
• Promoting basic hygiene awareness amongst children.
• Personal attention and care/internship to children coming to the site everyday.
• Developing motor skills of the children by making them use body parts through playing
  games.

 

Health Internship volunteer program is available at: (4 months - 12 months) • Jaipur • Dharamshala Popular with students and families during summer, winter, and spring breaks. Adventurers and retirees may join programs year-round. Group Programs: Universities, Schools, Corporate, Youth Groups, Spiritual Organizations Create your own customized Group Volunteer Programs. Qualification: The only qualification of our volunteers is that you come motivated to help needy people. We happily accommodate singles, couples and groups. If you are comfortable with your level of English, it's probably good enough. Age Limit: Participants on the program may be minimum 16 years old.
