We aim to support the Childcare Center in caring for children through our volunteer program. Volunteers will help with daily routines, providing care, love and affection to children. They will also assist with mentally and physically challenged children who need special attention. By volunteering, you can make a meaningful difference in the lives of these children and bring them hope and happiness.

Goals of Childcare Volunteer Program

Support the Childcare by caring for children through the work program, assisting in daily routines, and providing much-needed care and affection. Extend your support to mentally challenged children who require special attention, helping to meet their unique needs.

Your Key Contributions

As part of the program, volunteers will engage in the following activities:

  • Assisting with bathing and dressing.
  • Helping with feeding, especially for babies and mentally challenged children.
  • Providing nursing care and emotional support.
  • Organizing and facilitating games and playtime.
  • Conducting exercise activities for applicable children.
  • General cleaning and upkeep of the Childcare center compound.
  • Assisting the Childcare staff with other necessary activities.

Volunteer Requirement

  • This program avaialbe for minimum 4-week duration and open for female volunteers only.
  • Volunteers must be at least 18 years old at the time of joining Childcare Support Program
  • A positive, adaptable attitude is crucial to thriving in this diverse and new environment.
  • Volunteers should bring energy and enthusiasm to create a possitive wibes.
  • A clean criminal record and a criminal background check report are necessary.

The Childcare volunteer program is based in Jaipur, where you will find all the support and resources needed to make your volunteering time both rewarding and important. We provide the following services to our volunteers:

I volunteered twice now, and I'm very positive about this organization. They are happy to answer all the questions you have about your stay and the programs. There's a special house for the volunteers, which is very nice and comfortable. The orginasators of Volunteerign India have an office in the house, so you see them everyday. The staff members are very nice and helpfull. There's a cook, and lunch and dinner is provided, the food is Indian, but it's not spicy. I met a lot of great people, had an amazing time with the children. I would recomend this program to everyone! I had a great experience, which I will never forget!

I have enjoyed participating in the Childcare Program. I love working with children and I really had a good time talking care of them, playing with them…I think these children have a great time when volunteer visit them, that’s why I think this program is really necessary for them, because this way they disconnect and “break the routine”. The children have been great and it’s been easy to work with them. I’ve been playing with them; feeding singing…Accommodation and the food at volunteer home was good. The staff at the volunteer home was good. I will definitely recommend Volunteering India Network to others.

This was my second time volunteering in Jaipur, India. Yet again it was an amazing experience! I was volunteering in the children's Home, everyday was fantastic, the children are utterly amazing in their own right and the relationship that you can build with both the children and the staff who work there is something really special. I was only in Jaipur for 3 weeks and saying goodbye to the children was one of the hardest things! I didn't think it was even possible to become so emotionally attached to children after spending only 15 days with them until I was in tears when I had to leave!! Shake Hands is a fantastic organization and that they have their hearts in the right place. I will definitely be going back again and can’t wait until I do!
